We have leftover bales.
What should we do with them?
Well, we will be wanting a hen-house.
And a fortress playroom would be fun.
So here’s the plan: when we’re settled in our new house, we will build a round turret from bales along the fence between the chicken run and our backyard. 10 bales in a circle makes a nice size. The ground level will be a hen-house, with nesting boxes which can be checked from the yard and perhaps a drawbridge door for the hens.
The first floor will be a cubby-house reached by steps which also go to a slide for the kids.
A circular pole ladder might even be able to lead to a battlement complete with crenellations made from a sawdust/cement masonry.
