I’m loving the look and feel of this lime render. It’s a little harder to work with than the earthen render, but the end surface makes such an attractive wall with an almost suede feeing which we think will be finished beautifully by casein paint.
The recipe we settled on:
1 part slaked quicklime for strength
1 part hydrated builders lime for workability
4 parts sharp sand
2 parts sawdust for texture
up to half a part of water if the sand is dry
