ANZAC Biscuits

Anzac biscuits have a long association with the

Australian and

New

Zealand

Army

Corps

established in World War I.

Biscuits like these were sent by wives and women's groups to soldiers abroad because the ingredients do not spoil easily and the biscuits kept well during naval transportation.

They were also baked, sold, and eaten by Australians and Kiwis at home in order to raise funds for the war.

50% of profits go to the Tasmanian Lighthorse Historical Troop
